Yvonne Seon, Ph.D.

Yvonne Seon, Ph.D. was the first African American woman ordained as a minster in the Unitd Church. She was the founding Director of the Bolinga Black Cultural Resources Center at Wright State University in Dayton, OH,. She was a professor of African American Studies in the History Department at Prince George’s Community College, Largo, MD. A native of Washington, D.C., she learned first-hand about Africa during two years as Administrative Director of the High Commission for the Inga Dam Project with the Government of the Democratic Republic of the Congo, Kinshasa, where she learned Lingala and perfected her spoken French. She returned to continue formal study in African and African American life and culture through the Union Institute, earning a doctorate and helping to shape the new discipline in the 1970’s. She taught the first course on “The African American Woman” offered at the University of Maryland at College Park and developed the course, “Comparative Black Literature” at Howard University. Yvonne Seon has worked with the late Congressman Charles C. Diggs, Chairman of the House Sub-committee on Africa. After 23 years continuous service on the Board of Directors of Africare, a private, voluntary organization specializing in Development in Africa, from 2002 to 2004, she was Vice-Chair of Africare.




Mutah "Napoleon" Beale - Ambassador of Celebrity Relations for CDA

When he was three years old his parents were murdered in front of him. After this, he along with his brothers moved in with their grandparents in Irvington, New Jersey. In 1994, he ran into his childhood friend Yafeu "Kadafi" Fula who he hadn't had contact with for years. Both of them were rapping and Kadafi's godbrother was the rapper Tupac Amaru Shakur. Kadafi's mother, Yaasmyn Fula, told Tupac about Mutah. They met and Mutah joined their group, Dramacydal later to be known as the Outlawz. On September 7, 1996, Tupac was shot four times in a drive-by-shooting in Las Vegas, Nevada. He was taken to University Medical Center where he died a week later. Napoleon and the rest of the Outlawz moved back to New Jersey. On November 5, Tupac's LP, The Don Killuminati: The 7 Day Theory, was released. Napoleon guest appeared on the song "Life Of An Outlaw." In 2002 Napoleon embraced Islam and has since been an active caller to Islam.



Sh. Neelain Muhammad - Special Advisor & Instructor for CDA

Sh. Neelain Muhammad accepted Islam over 30 years ago. A former Lieutenant in the Nation of Islam and former body guard of the World Heavy Weight Champion Muhammad Ali. Sh.Neelain has been a Da'ee, Caller to Islam since embracing Islam. He has also achieved an 8th degree black belt in Mixed Martial Arts , comprising of Karate, Kung-Fu, Jujitsu, Wing-Chong, and Boxing, from the S.W.A.M academy ( www.swam-martialarts.com) under his Noble Teacher Abdul-Muttakabir. Sh.Neelain, brings over three decades of experience in Dawah to the table. He is able to effectively train and develop future Callers and help develop effective Dawah programs with his deep insight and valuable advice.



Amir Sulaiman
Amir Sulaiman is an accomplished poet, activist, and 2 time HBO Def Poet. Host and performer for national Breed Love Odyssey Tour with Mos Def and Talib Kweli and special guest on KRS-ONES Hip Hop Lives Tour there is a steady but ever increasing buzz building around Amir quickly gaining the attention. In addition, organizations such as the ACLU, Amnesty International and Jesse Jackson's Rainbow/PUSH Coalition have used Amir's poetry and voice to bring life to multiple campaigns dealing with social justice and art. Amir has been performing at countless colleges, universities, high schools and community centers. As a member of Youth Speaks in the Bay Area California, Amir works regularly teaching kids by way of spoken word and focusing on the union of art and education. Consistently working across the United States and Canada, Amir has shared the stage with artists such as Kanye West, Lauryn Hill, Common , Mos Def, Talib Kweli, Pharoah Monch, Floetry, Black Thought of The Roots, Goapele, Stevie Wonder, The Last Poets, Dead Prez, Ghostface of Wu-Tang Clan, MOP, and more.



Said Rageah
Shaykh Said graduated from the Institute of Islamic and Arabic Sciences in America in Fairfax . He served as an Imam in Maryland and in Calgary. Sh.Said recently moved to Toronto with his family and is currently serving as an Imam at Abu Huraira Islamic Center





Imam Luqman Abdullah
Luqman Abdullah converted to Islam in 1975 and did his basic studies in Detroit Mi. He later took courses at the American Islamic College in Chicago Ill. In 1983 Luqman Abdullah formed Masjid Al-Haqq in the west side of Detroit transforming a drug and crime infested neighborhood into a more peaceful environment over time by establishing the 5 daily prayers and having the adhan called on a loud speaker. He helped establish a national community of Muslims following only Qur’an and Sunnah. He was later added to the Shura committee and where he currently stands today. Imam luqman was invited to India where he engaged in Seminars and public events. Imam Luqman also travelled to give dawah in London, England, Senegal, Kenya, Gambia, Tanzania and all over the United States. He has made Hajj 8 times and Umrah 3 times and continued to study and spread Islam to all.



Omar Regan - Program Developer of Celebrity Relations for CDA
Omar Regan is a very enthusiastic and devoted Muslim. He reaches out to other celebrities presenting Islam to them. He also focuses on the upcoming generation of youth. He tries to present Islam as the solution for common youth problems, such as gang violence and drugs. Omar Regan, through his years of experience in dealing with Celebrities and distinguished individuals has been able to develop unique programs that will be a vehicle for presenting Islam to high profiled people in their own environment. He offers his skills to the Canadian Dawah Association as Program Developer for Celebrity Relations.
